The 2014 Chevy Sonic is Chevrolet's newest subcompact car, and has
proven far more popular than the unloved Aveo it replaced. Now in its
third model year, with a handful of updates to infotainment and safety
systems, it's offered as a five-door hatchback and a four-door
sedan.Equipped with the right engine, it's one of our favorites in the
segment. The 2014 Sonic competes well with the Ford Fiesta--itself
updated for 2014--the aging Honda Fit, the Hyundai Accent, the Nissan
Versa sedan and Versa Note hatchback, and the Toyota Yaris.
