Friday, March 30, 2012, testfired its second
supersonic BrahMos cruise missile in two days off
the coast of the eastern state of Odisha, sources
said. The missile lifted off at 10 a.m. from the
Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Orissa,
from a truck. It reached its full range of
290 km at twice the speed of sound (2.8
Mach).

hypersonic cruise missile and will soon agree on
a general outline of the design, the head of
the BrahMos Indian-Russian cruise missile

Army of Ukraine gets new automatic 30mm cannon on ZTM-1 turret for armoured vehicle
The
Ukrainian army is taking delivery of a new automatic
30-mm cannon ZTM-1 developed by Ukrainian experts,
the Defense Ministry said quoting a minister's order
on Thursday, March 29, 2012. The ZTM-1
automatic cannons are designed to engage
light armored infantry fighting vehicles,
dismounted infantry and low-flying aircraft.

Sagem to supply EOMS-NG optronic system for French navy frigates
Sagem (Safran group) has signed a contract with French naval
shipyard DCNS, under French defense procurement agency DGA as
contracting authority, for the modernization of fire control
systems on six Floréal class surveillance frigates. The
modernization will be based on Sagem's new-generation
Electro-Optical Multifunction System (EOMS-NG).

the centre of the focus, the Scorpene submarine which
Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) is producing under ToT from DCNS
will be displayed. The first Scorpene submarine is to be
launched at the end of 2013 and commissioned in 2015.

Scorpene submarines equipment to Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) for the

North Korea continues activities for the launching of missile on the Tongch'ang-ni launch pad
A
new satellite image has captured increased activity
on North Korea's launch pad as the country prepares
for its controversial missile launch in mid-April.
The DigitalGlobe image taken on March 28, 2012,
shows trucks on the Tongch'ang-ni launch
pad. Atop the umbilical tower, which sits
beside where the assembled rocket will
stand, a crane arm that will be used to lift
the rocket stages has been swung wide.

first night refueling in the history of the Lockheed
Martin F-35 program was completed Thursday at Edwards
Air Force Base, Calif. Piloted by U.S. Air Force Lt.
