Brad's Auto Reviews: Autofest rolls into town

If you frequent the My Becker’s Story blog you might already know that outside of raising awareness about Muscular Dystrophy my other passion is cars. When it comes to car shows I am lucky to live in a community where one of the largest gatherings of classic cars takes place. The event is known as Autofest and it takes place over a three day period. It begins with Autofest’s Downtown Kickoff Party on Friday August 24th and not only includes classic cars but live music which helps to create a great atmosphere. This year a friend of mine invited me to join him downtown, knowing that I am really into cars he thought it would be a great idea to meet up and take in all the sights. We were there just as the show started and it was amazing to see so many classic cars parked along the city streets. A few days earlier we decided to meet early enough in the day that we could avoid the large crowds that tend to gather later in the evening. The best thing about arriving early is that the area around the cars are a lot less crowded which helps to make it a lot easier to get an up close look at all the classic cars. It is also the best time for those with limited mobility to take in the show as well. It resulted in me having a great time as I didn’t have to worry about bumping into other people around me. It also resulted in many great opportunities to take a few pictures of all the amazing classic cars which you see below.

In the end I had a great time at Autofest’s Downtown Kickoff Party and I can’t wait till next year to do it all over again.
